About Iron Workers Local 399

Who are the Iron Workers of Local 399?

Ironworkers Local Union #399 is a non-discriminatory Union that supplies qualified Journeyman Iron Workers and Apprentices to affiliated contractors, without regard to age, race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, marital status or sex, to projects in the Southern New Jersey area.  We are members of the International association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworkers.

Local #399 is a mixed local providing skilled craftsmen in every discipline of the Ironworking trade.  We strive to promote a positive and safe worksite environment.  Our members are trained in all applicable OSHA standards.  Many members also have First Aid and CPR training.  We are very proud of our training and our work ethic.

Ironworkers Local #399 works under a collective bargaining agreement with the South Jersey Contractors Association.  The current contract is due to expire on June 30, 2012.

The General Membership meetings are conducted the 4th Monday of the month at 7:00 pm.  The Executive Board meets the 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00 pm.  All administrative positions are elected by the membership and serve a three year term.
